Job Training
The vocational job training programs will help income eligible parenting adults develop skills so they can increase their wages. This goal is accomplished by preparing individucals to enter high-demand occupations that pay better wages. ETSS training programs provide full-time case managers that provide services to single parenting females. The case managers focus on the family as a whole and they work with families as partners in identifying and meeting needs. Services that are timely, flexible, coordinated and accessible to participants include:
- Identifying and enhancing family strengths to solve problems which compromise the family’s functioning and well-being;
- Developing a family service plan to include strategies to alleviate problems;
- Determining appropriate goals and steps needed to achieve the goals identified.
- Providing, coordinating and referring participants to other community services that may be able to provide assistance.
