CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) and its partners are accepting nominations for workplace safety and workforce development awards to be presented at the 2015 Wyoming Safety and Workforce Summit. The Summit will be held June 24-25 at Little America Hotel and Resort in Cheyenne.
The DWS Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the State Mine Inspector's Office, both divisions within DWS, will present the Governor's Safety Award certificates to Wyoming employers demonstrating a strong safety culture and excellence in safety and health programs. The Wyoming Oil and Gas Industry Safety Alliance (WOGISA) will present its Stop Work Authority Award. Furthermore, the Wyoming Workforce Development Council (WWDC) will recognize an outstanding Wyoming employer and an individual for their commitments to helping develop Wyoming's workforce.
The nomination period closes May 15.
The Wyoming Safety and Workforce Summit is a joint effort between DWS, the Workforce Development Council and WOGISA.
