CHEYENNE - Today, the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) announced its annual Employer Information Seminar schedule. The public seminars feature agency subject matter experts and are aimed at helping Wyoming employers enhance their knowledge regarding new workforce law changes, workplace safety compliance, and workforce assistance and grants available to businesses.
The seminars will be held from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the following communities:
- Evanston: September 6, at Uinta County BOCES (1013 W. Cheyenne Drive #A)
- Laramie: September 7, at Albany County Public Library (310 S. 8th Street)
- Powell: September 12, at Northwest College, Yellowstone Conference Center (231 W. 6th Street)
- Gillette: September 14, at Alan Mickelson Fire Training Center (701 Larch Street)
The agenda will focus on workforce training programs, an overview of workers' compensation benefits, fraud prevention, safety and risk management, unemployment insurance taxes, claims and appeals, Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) requirements and more.
Participants can register the day of the seminar between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. or online. The cost of the seminar is $25.00, which covers lunch and breaks.
