CHEYENNE - Registration is now open for the 2019 Safety & Workforce Summit, which will take place on July 9 at the Little America Hotel and Resort in Cheyenne. The summit, now in its seventh year, includes a dynamic keynote speaker, awards ceremony, and more than 35 breakout presenters.This year's summit is a joint effort of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services and the Wyoming Workforce Development Council.
Robin Sessions Cooley, Director of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, says the event provides a critical platform for business owners, employees, and policy makers to share advances in workforce development and workplace safety. "The Safety & Workforce Summit has become a nexus for best practices," says Cooley, "and we take our charge of ensuring Wyoming has safe workplaces with qualified workers very seriously." Cooley says the summit appeals to business owners, human resource professionals, workforce development specialists, training providers, and workers looking to improve their safety skills and on-the-job performance.
"With this year's summit, we continue to lean in to the challenges and opportunities facing Wyoming's workforce," said Director Cooley. "The Department and its partners are excited to offer another stellar lineup this year."
