Intent to Adopt New Rules
Wyoming Department of Workforce Services

Public notice is hereby given that the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) intends to file new rules pursuant to W.S. § 9-2-2608 and the Wyoming Procedures Act as W.S. § 16-3-101, “et seq.”  The proposed rules exceed minimum substantive statutory requirements.

Chapter 1 – Workplace Safety Contracts

The Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is promulgating these rules to set forth regulations governing provisions for workplace safety contracts established by the creation of 2012 legislative session law W.S. § 9-2-2608(a) through (d) to be administered by DWS.

A public hearing will be held if requested by 25 persons, by a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less than 25 members.

Copies of the proposed rules may be obtained upon request from DWS at the address listed below or from our Website at www.wyomingworkforce.org. 

The Department of Workforce Services welcomes all comments and suggestions on these proposed rules.  The public comment period is planned from May 9, 2012, through 5:00 pm June 22, 2012.  Any person may urge the Agency not to adopt these rules and may request that the Agency state it reason(s) for overruling the consideration urged against adoption.  Comments regarding these proposed rules must be submitted in writing, during the comment period, via our address or fax number found below or through the following email address – laurie.timm@wyo.gov.

Interested parties may request a statement of the Department’s position regarding each comment and the action taken as a result of the comments prior to or within thirty (30) days after adoption of the rules.  Requests must be submitted to the above mentioned address.
