Workforce Services Announces new Employment Services Administrator
CHEYENNE- The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services is pleased to announce that Jim McIntosh is the new Employment Services Administrator for the Employment Services Division.
McIntosh also serves as the Agency's Vocational Rehabilitation Administrator for the Vocational Rehabilitation Division, and is excited about leading both Divisions. McIntosh was appointed the Vocational Rehabilitation Administrator in April, 2002.
The Employment Services Division offers services for Wyoming's businesses and job seekers. One of the Division's key services is the Wyoming At Work system, an online job matching system that brings employers and job seekers together. The Vocational Rehabilitation Division actively works with more than 4,000 Wyoming citizens with disabilities toward successfully completing a rehabilitation program and toward entering the workforce.
Prior to taking on his Administrator role, McIntosh was a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, an Area Manager and an Assistant Administrator for Field Services. McIntosh has worked for the State of Wyoming for over 30 years. He holds a master's degree in Counseling and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
Joan Evans, Director of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, said, "Jim has a wealth of experience and will be a strong influence as he leads both the Employment Services and the Vocational Rehabilitation Divisions. Jim's knowledge and energy that have benefited the Vocational Rehabilitation Division for many years will now support the Employment Services Division as well. Jim will continue to move the Department forward to meet Wyoming's workforce needs."
McIntosh said, "I'm looking forward to this new position because it gives us an opportunity to pull two Divisions together that do basically the same thing for individuals seeking employment. This is an opportunity that will allow us to work closer together and fulfill the vision that Director Joan Evans and Deputy Director Lisa Osvold have in mind."
