Wyoming Veterans and UW Basketball... A Winning Combination
LARAMIE - The University of Wyoming is once again proud to show its thanks to Wyoming veterans for offering free tickets to four upcoming basketball games in Laramie. Tickets are available for UW women's games on February 15th against San Diego State, and February 28th when the Cowgirls host Air Force.
Tickets are also available for UW men's games on February 21st against TCU, and March 7th against New Mexico. The tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is a limit of two tickets per game.
Ken Johnson is the Veterans Representative for the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services. "The University has really stepped up and they have shown, first-hand, that they really appreciate what Wyoming veterans have done for the state of Wyoming and for the country," he said. Johnson continued, "So, I really applaud UW."
Joan Evans is Director for the Department of Workforce Services. She says she also applauds UW for the support and the tickets. "Offering these UW basketball tickets to Wyoming veterans is a great way to say thank you to them for the service they provide, and their sacrifice for our country," Evans said.
Veterans can get their tickets to these games by calling the UW ticket office at 1-800-922-9461 or 307-766-4850. Tickets can be picked up at the Arena-Auditorium "Will Call" window on the day of the game. Veterans will need to show some type of military I-D such as a VFW or American Legion card.
