Governor to Present DWS Service Awards
The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services will recognize agency employees who have dedicated their service to the people of Wyoming for more than a quarter century. An award ceremony will take place Wednesday, April 15th at 1:30 p.m. in Room 1699 of the Herschler state office building.
Governor Fruedenthal will present Agency employees who have both 25 and 30 years of service in state government.
Joan Evans, Director for the Department of Workforce Services says this is a very special group of people who are being honored. She said, "Our employees who have given a majority of their work history to the citizens of Wyoming should just be commended and given a huge pat on the back. Their service to their communities, their citizens and the state in general is just exemplary, and we commend them."
Those who will be presented 30 year service awards are Kirk McKinney and Jan Minear of Cheyenne, Brian Clark of Casper, Sandy Dean of Riverton and Donna Gewecke of Gillette. Those who will receive 25 year awards are Judy Sorensen and Cheryl Brown of Casper, Deb Pruss and Mary Able of Sheridan, Pat Brown of Rock Springs, Dianne DiJenno of Cody, Debbie Parks of Lander, Kay Roth of Gillette, and Sheila Urban of Rawlins.
The public is invited to attend the award ceremony. A reception for all the honorees will immediately follow the award ceremony.
