Workforce Services and Serve Wyoming Partner for Volunteers

CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services and Serve Wyoming have partnered to create volunteer opportunities within the state agency. Serve Wyoming matches volunteer experiences to volunteers looking to serve.

Joan Evans, Director of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, said, "Serve Wyoming is a great organization that provides many benefits to businesses throughout the state. Not only are they offering job experiences to their clients, the businesses that utilize their services gain much needed assistance in their operations."

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services operates Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Employment Services across the state. These operations include matching job seekers to jobs and training clients with vocational disabilities to re-enter the workforce. With 20 field offices throughout Wyoming, job seekers turn to the Department to access training, prepare resumes, post open jobs and find employment.

"With the increase in demand that our agency is experiencing, accessing the highly qualified volunteers through Serve Wyoming makes sense for us," Evans added.

Serve Wyoming assists a variety of businesses in finding volunteers for their organizations. For more information on Serve Wyoming, visit servewyoming.org. For more information on the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, visit wyomingworkforce.org or call 877-WORK-WYO.
