State Rehabilitation Council and State Independent Living Council Meeting Set
CHEYENNE- The State Rehabilitation Council and the State Independent Living Council for the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services' Division of Vocational Rehabilitation will be hosting a joint meeting on November 4th and 5th at the Courtyard by Marriot located at 4260 Hospitality Lane in Casper. An information session will also be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at that location.
During the Information Session, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation will present its Employer Award to Safeway of Casper. This Employer Award signifies that Safeway of Casper is committed to hiring workers with disabilities.
State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) and State Independent Living Council (SILC) members will be on hand to visit with attendees to offer information regarding the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), listen and discuss individual's experiences with DVR, and to present the many services one can utilize through DVR. The SRC and SILC are dedicated to ensuring persons with disabilities throughout the state of Wyoming receive needed services.
Joan Evans, Director of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, said, "This meeting is open to the public and will focus on how the Council's efforts can improve services for Wyoming citizens with disabilities."
Evans added, "State Independent Living Council members will be on hand to visit with attendees, discuss their experiences with the Division and to present the services provided by the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation."
