Governor Appoints New Members to Workforce Development Council
CHEYENNE- The Wyoming Workforce Development Council is pleased to announce 10 new community leaders who will serve on the Wyoming Development Council.
The new members are:
- Monte Morlock representing labor, Rock Springs
- Linda Simmons representing private sector with emphasis on healthcare, Rock Springs
- John Eastman - representing private sector with emphasis on hospitality, Jackson
- Randy Teeuwen - representing private sector with emphasis on oil and gas, Denver
- Kevin Kershisnik - representing private sector with emphasis on technology, Riverton
- Casey Crosby - representing private sector with emphasis on agriculture, Cowley
- Norm Stevenson - representing private sector with emphasis on transportation, Rawlins
- Ronald Kensey - representing private sector with emphasis on manufacturing, Sheridan
- Jeff Heilbrun - representing private sector, Jackson
- Bret Pizzato - representing private sector with emphasis on mining, Rock Springs
Jerimiah Rieman, Administrator for the Wyoming Workforce Development Council said, "These new members bring a rich dynamic to the Council's mission. And we really look forward to bringing their insight and enthusiasm to the Council's initiatives. We can only gain momentum from having them onboard."
The 10 new Council Members' terms will run through August 15, 2010.
The Wyoming Workforce Development Council is composed of business representatives who have a major impact of the State's economy and employment. All members of the Workforce Development Council are appointed by the Governor.
"It's real exciting to have these members as part of the Council. We have so much to learn from them and their private-sector experiences and how we can apply that knowledge toward the advancement of the workforce system in Wyoming and how that can provide a competitive advantage to us and the global economy," Rieman added.
The Wyoming Workforce Development Council's vision of Wyoming is a state with a strong growing economy populated by educated, economically self-sufficient people who enjoy a high quality of life.
