Career Exploration
The Department of Workforce Services understands the need for students, parents, schools, job-seekers and the like to explore their options as it relates to career pathing and development. With this need in mind, the Department of Workforce Services provides the following links to further facilitate career exploration:
Start exploring career options with Career Voyages, whether you are in high school, have graduated, have a vocational certificate, have a 2-year or 4-year college degree, or have knowledge and skills acquired through training centers, on-the-job training, or work experience. Then, visit Wyoming At Work to find job opportunities.
The Department of Workforce Services' local supportive centers has publicly-accessible computers with resume writing software, various books and videos on resume writing and interviewing, college catalogs, typing and spelling tests, and other resource materials.
With Choices, a person can complete a "Career Aptitude Survey," which will link their aptitudes to various jobs to a given personality type. Choices also offers an Interest Profile, Occupational statistics (growth, salaries, etc), College information (locations, courses offered, tuition, etc), and more. Choices is available on the Department of Workforce Services' local supportive center computers.
