2008 Governor's Summit on Workforce Solutions Set for May 28th & 29th

CHEYENNE - On May 28th and 29th, 2008, the fourth Governor's Summit on Workforce Solutions will take place at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. The Wyoming Workforce Development Council, in partnership with the Department of Workforce Services, is sponsoring the event. The Summit is designed to assist Wyoming businesses in defining the future of Wyoming's workforce.

The theme of the 2008 Summit is Defining Our Future. Topics will include Human Resources, Customer Service, Recruitment, Youth Issues, Education, Healthcare and various others.

"This year's workshop line up is perhaps the best we've had; including workshops on developing and retaining youth, generations in your workplace, how foreign labor can become of use to you when it becomes a defined need and healthcare," explains Jerimiah Rieman, Policy Analyst for the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services and key organizer of the Summit. "Please join us in Laramie on May 28th and 29th for the 2008 Governor's Summit on Workforce Solutions."

This year's workshops include the following: Take Your Human Resource Function from the 19th Century to the 21st Century, Innovative Workforce Solutions: Housing, How and Why a Culture of Aging is Good for Business, A Business' and Job Seekers 1st Stop for Workforce Solutions, GEN Y @ Work: An Insider's Guide to Retaining and Motivating Generation Y Employees, Innovative Workforce Solutions: Linking Education with Industry, When Foreign Labor Becomes a Defined Need, Crossing the Generational Divide: Making the Four Generations in Your Workplace a Competitive Advantage, Defining Our Future Together: Community Colleges as Partners and a Healthcare Panel.
