First Powell Valley Alumni Career Fair Scheduled

POWELL - The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, alongside the Powell Chamber of Commerce, Powell Valley Economic Development Alliance, Powell Valley Healthcare, Northwest College Center for Training and Development, Wyoming Business Council, Wyoming Small Business Development Center, Wyoming Workforce Development, Park County School District No. 1, First National Bank & Trust and Wyoming Department of Employment, will be holding a job fair on Saturday June 28th, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Plaza Diane in Powell.

Although the event is aimed at Alumni of Northwest College it is open to all interested in finding a job in the Powell Valley area. According to Diane Dijenno, who helped organize the event and is a Center Supervisor for the Cody, Powell and Worland Workforce Centers, for the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, "This is Powell's first attempt to have a job fair and our hopes are that a lot of individuals will show up."

Organizers are planning on making this an annual occurrence and they hope it will be a major event this weekend. The fair will have a refreshment table with cold drinks and snacks for those attending. Several career types are being featured this year, including construction trades, engineering, education, technical occupations and medical professions.
