Workforce Services to hold Veteran's Job Fair

CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services will be representing its services to Veterans at the Veteran's Job Fair on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Casper Recreation Center located at 1801 East 4th Street, Casper.

The Department of Workforce Services understands the importance placed on those citizens who have served in the nation's armed forces. Veterans from all services - Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National and Air Guard - and their spouses are welcome to the job fair. Businesses will be on hand who have job openings and are interested in hiring veterans or their spouses.

Ken Johnson, Workforce Specialist and Veteran Representative, for the Department of Workforce Services, said these businesses know the value of hiring a veteran. "From their military experience veterans know the meaning of teamwork, working until the job is done and having a sense of responsibility," he said.
