For each state fiscal year (July 1 – June 30), a trainee may only receive up to $2,000 in training funds.

Applications will only be accepted for a minimum grant amount of $300 after the 40% business match.
No funding will be granted on a retroactive basis.
The application must be approved and a contract must be signed and dated by the business and the Department of Workforce Services prior to the training start date.
Requests for Business Training Grants in which the actual training will take place outside the United States may be approved only if the business applicant can demonstrate that there is no comparable training available within the United States. To maximize the use of available funds, applicants are strongly discouraged from seeking to attend training at a non-United States location. Final approval of a non-United States training request is at the discretion of the Director of Workforce Services.
Each application may contain only one training event, but the training may include multiple dates. Individual college or similar secondary education courses are considered to be a single training event, and cannot be combined on one application. There is no limit on the number of applications that may be submitted, as long as each trainee remains within their allowed maximum grant amount of $2,000 per fiscal year.
